Nearly a century ago, Carlos DeAldecoa Bueno’s grandfather started a coffee business in Spain, expanding his enterprise to the fertile soils of Veracruz, Mexico. In 1998, The DeAldecoa family bought the then memorable Uncle Ben’s Rice manufacturing facility on Clinton Drive. Now the facility has been turned into a world-class coffee plant and distillery, expanding the beverage imperium with the creation of Giant Texas Distillers.
In 2023, we proudly filled our 20,000th barrel, marking a major milestone in our commitment to crafting exceptional spirits. With over 1MM SqFt of storage space in multiple buildings close to our distillery, we have the capability to accommodate large-scale production while ensuring optimal aging conditions for every barrel.
At the heart of our distilling operation are six massive 40,000-gallon fermenters, allowing us to produce high volumes of whiskey while maintaining the rich flavors and quality craftsmanship we’re known for. Once aged to perfection, our spirits are shipped across the globe, with several tankers of our expertly crafted whiskey making their way to international and domestic markets.

At Giant Texas Distillers, we offer Contract Bottling. In this arrangement, we offer tasks such as filling bottles, labeling, sealing, and packaging. Contract bottling allows your brand to focus on other aspects of their business, such as marketing and distribution, while leaving the technical and operational aspects of bottling up to us.

Originally the Uncle Ben’s Production facility, we offer traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to ensure consistency, efficiency, and exceptional quality in every batch.

Our sister location, Tejas Brewery is located in the heart of vibrant Sawyer Yards, offering three stories of exceptional food, handcrafted beer, creative cocktails, artisan coffee, and versatile event spaces—all with a stunning view of downtown Houston.
Known for our locally brewed Tejas Beer, our brewery also specializes in contract brewing and canning services. We handle the full process—brewing, packaging, and labeling—so you can bring your brand to life with a product crafted to the highest standards.
Tejas Brewery features a state-of-the-art 30-barrel brewing system supported by 18 fermentation vessels. Our advanced cooling is powered by a York Glycol Chiller System, while heating is efficiently managed by a Miura LX-50 Boiler.
For storage and maturation, we utilize premium barrel brite tanks, bulk CO2, and both a cold box and reefer trailer to maintain optimal conditions.
Our packaging line includes a Pneumatic Scale Angelus CB100F Filler-Steamer, capable of running 120 cans per minute. A Domino date coder, precision labeler, and PakTech applicator for six-pack holders ensure a high-quality finish, making our facility ideal for private-label production.
